Franklin Land Trust Host Snowshoe Hike!
On a chilly wintery days most people like to stay inside next to a warm fire , but there's are always a few who like to spend it outside no matter what the weather. Feb. 21, 2009 Franklin Land Trust hosted a nature hike through their newly acquired 107 acre farm Plainfield Massachusetts. The site known as the Guyette Farm was the perfect place for a hike. Will Sloan Anderson led the snowshoe hike pointing out animal tracks and mentioning future plans to boost the natural habitat. " it was a lot of fun and a great day for it" says one of the hikers. With all the cold, wintery weather weve been having, especially the bad ice storm, its nice to see people out and enjoying the nicer side of nature.

this was before the icestorm hit but we still had a lot of wood to burn up before winter .. so me a some of my friends use a little gas and get things going. good camp fire we had going.

Driving To Work
The weather when i was driving to work in western massachusets. It got pretty bad but i think thats what makes it fun!!! gave me a reason to use 4 wheel drive haha. I wish the video could really show you how bad it was. This was at like 12pm driving from Heath to Rowe Massachusetts.

Lots of snow .. 4ft in snow places. car is almost covered on one side. Really nice out though! in front of the red car theres about 4ft before the rd! crazy still coming down hard!!!

I work with the IT department for Mohawk Schools and we had the change to setup a video conference with the International Space Station. Luckily we had a connection with one of the astronauts and were able to make this happen. The students and the adults all loved every moment!

Buckland, MA. Cloud Formation. Tornado?
Only 8 days after a very rare tornado touch down in Springfield Ma. here is a video of what looks to be a tornado forming over Mohawk Trail Regional High School. About 30 mins later unconfirmed touch down of a tornado just 20 miles away. Was this the beginning of that? High windws, hail and an amazing display of lightning. Solid work mother nature, solid work.

Bad thunderstorm came through Plainfield Ma, just when you think its the safest place on earth.. Reports of funnel clouds and 5 miles of 116 closed off over night while crews worked to clean up the area.

The Moon Is Putting On Quite The Show!
Looking up in the night sky in Plainfield MA we see 2 rings one that circles the moon and another that runs through it. I did my best to grab a picture of it before the clouds from SANDY rolled in.
